Actually your story reminds me of the beginnings of an 
old family joke. We were driving somewhere one fine hot 
summer day in s. Cal with Mom along. (we grandkids 
called our Grandmother Mom) She was dozing in the 
backseat of the stationwagon with us kids, it was hot 
enough almost everybody except Dad was dozing. Anyway, 
I said something like, "we should've brought sleeping 
bags."

To which Mom roused enough to say, "I'm here." and 
dozed back off.

A sleeping bag has had a different meaning in our 
family since.
