Sure...this was very minor corruption really..way nastier elsewhere.

I'll bet it wouldn't take much to get you to argue the other side here 
with conviction, Andy.

Cancer is long gone, thankfully. Unless they actually turned it over to 
the feds and surrendered some of their turf..the legal precedent was 
solidly in my favor.

Bah...I disagree. Sure, some of them qualify, but most cops are OK and 
some are excellent human beings. They are not responsible for bad law 
and policies...that's a separate set of problems they take flack for.
They deal with the azzholes for us, day in and day out. I'm grateful for 
that.
It can't help but sour their outlook. One tends to become like the 
people you are around to some degree. They have to fight that tendency 
constantly.
That so many of them manage to perform professionally and remain decent 
folks and good neighbors says a lot for mankind.
Fact is, most of us need them. pf
