Put in enough ventilation to deal with lots of extra moisture when there 
is no power and it's cold outside. The barn will require a lot more as 
will the shop. Put in plenty of extra vents and block them off until 
needed. Put in enough to compensate for other system failures..pf

Not sure what that is off hand.   A mechanical contractor / engineer could give you that number.  They could also advise you as to what area it takes to accomplish that passively.
