Terry - I am glad to hear that your problems are at least partly solved. 
  I hope "sizable" means just that.

As for larger purchases, I would recommend you find a GOOD financial 
adviser and ask about time frames.  The USA is currently in uncharted 
economic waters, but one very real possible specter looming before us is 
hyperinflation.  Given that, it may behoove you to make your capital 
purchases sooner rather than later.  The investment market is shit and 
is likely to remain so for a good long while to come, so sinking your 
cash there is probably not goipng to avail you much.  Gold may be a 
decent hedge, but to be honest, I don't trust even that.

If you have your real estate in order, then great.  If not, buy now 
while prices are low and our currency is still worth almost its weight 
in bat guano.  If you need buildings built, build them soon.  I do not 
think you can be hurt by this, but if hyperinflation hits, you will be. 
  This goes for all of us.

But don't take my word for it - I could be completely wrong on all of 
this... of course, so would a slew of the world's best economists as 
well, but that would not be the first time.

We're in really weird times, and many events are unprecedented.  Add to 
that the fact that the incoming president may turn out to be a complete 
economic fop (not trying to start a political flame war folks, just 
stating the real possibilities) at what may be the worst possible time, 
I strongly recommend you find the best financial adviser on the planet 
and at least hear their opinion on this.  You really owe it to yourself 
to protect the assets that have cost you so much to accrue.

If all else fails I can put you in touch with my friend Lonnie Johnson. 
  He is sharp as a tack, honest, and carries his series 63, 7 and 
perhaps a few other licenses as well.

I'm really glad to hear that things are looking up for you.  I'll go 
crack a beer and drink a toast to 09 being a very fine year for you.
