There're also light amplifying cameras.  My 20 yr old 
Olympus VHS camera was low lux, I could see better 
through it than without it at night.

No problem at all now, night is no longer your 
neighborhood hoodlum's friend. Just as soon as 
everybody figures that out anyway.
