	Man, that's cheap.  In Williams, a 3000' well will run you nearly 1 
million  dollars because it is all stone.  That is one reason nobody 
there has a well.  The other is that the city won't give you a permit to 
drill one.  The water situation in AZ is not good and is getting worse. 
  I would not be surprised if one day much of the state ends up 
abandoned because of a lack of water.

	The water I had in Scottsdale was almost as bad as that in FL, which is 
the stinkiest, filthiest water I've encountered to date.

	There was 5300 acres in Weed NM that I almost bought.  The thing that 
put me off was the water situation.  There was a 250K gallon tank on the 
property, as well as many dirt tanks, but the well was 1400' deep and 
produced 1 gpm, which I guess was respectable given that the water 
column weighed something like 8 tons.  I couldn't get past not having 
plentiful water.  That was part of what made me leave AZ.
