LOL..He was a city boy, grew up in NYC. As soon as he could afford to
stop fixing his own cars..he stopped. Said he had a job one summer
during the depression at a used car lot..spent a lot of time stuffing
bananas in transmissions till he quit in disgust.

Some of the designs he did were great..and are still copied today. He
designed 2 lines a year..dozens of new pieces each season. There were
rip-off copies on the market within a month.
Many of them would make fine sculptures wrought large.

Being the boss's son at the factory was way more than a very shy kid
could handle.
