I save the drops from my plasma cutter- actually, they kind of save
themselves- I have a 4' x 4' water tank that I do my cutting on, and
all the drops of interior cuts fall into the water. About once a year
I clean it out, drain the water, shovel out the muck, which is
horrible nasty black sludge, and rinse off and save all the
interesting shapes. Most of my cutting is between 16 gage and 3/16",
with a lot of 1/8" stuff.
this spring I made a ten foot tall, 16" diameter column sculpture
entirely from these drops, which are mostly in the 2" x 3" size range.
tig welded together into an openwork, self supporting column. Slapped
a 1/2" plate base on it, and I will eventually be able to bolt it to a
concrete slab or sidewalk.

I am not at home for the next couple weeks, so I dont have any pics,
but this list serve still doesnt support pics anyway, does it?
