Good info Michael,
I have to try the whole milk thing. I have never used milk as a machining
lub.
For aluminum good old fashion lard works very well. Fact is that it is
still used in commercial wire and tube drawing applications for aluminum.
It still goes rancid -- stinks like hell and then you have dump the coolant.
For machining just keep your lard in the refrigerator.
