[TheForge] Fw: which tools to own and which to rent?

Terry, I have done a lot of building here since I retired -- the only tools
on your list that I would buy is the scaffolding. Get at least 5 sets. A
set of wheels, and a set or two of jacks. Four walk boards. You will use
and use and use. (and lend and lend and lend.)

Rent everything else on your list. (Many contractors even rent this class
of gear.)

A good standard fork lift is great to have -- or forks for your tractor.

Air Compressor. Large, 2 stage with a 60 to 80 gallon tank. Commerical
Quality.

One small commpressor to use with one nail gun. (I don't have this -- I
just run lots of hose from the commpressor to the job -- but when I want to
work off site it sure would be nice. -- Like for a friend, helping someone
in need etc.)

Dave
