Bruce: my old forge has a solid foam refractory for the walls and  
ceiling, and poured refractory cement for the floor and doors.

Funny story... the day I sent out the original email to this email  
list asking about new forges, my old forge decided to punish me. The  
burner flare fell off and the screws warped so I had to throw it out,  
and the cement that insulated the doors cracked apart and fell off.  
Hiiiiilarious.

And here I am trying to forge a railing, and a sculpture for Iron  
2010. Crap!
