Well, the bloody thing made me mad. Dunno yet what the problem was,
but that filter needs an enema...

Oh, GAWD, Frosty, I HATE sewing fabric. Dunno what it is, either- I
can stitch away quite cheerfully for hours on one of my leather
projects, but 5 minutes with a needle, thread, and fabric, and I'm
looking for something- ANYTHING- else to do.

Did finally get it done, but it took me almost two weeks for 50 feet
of simple seams (well, maybe the flat-felled seam wasn't so simple,
but it certainly wasn't very complex). Anyway, that's done, and next
step will be to install the leather grommets, which, being leather,
shouldn't be much of a problem. That linen canvas wasn't very hard to
sew, even including waxing the linen thread, but it was a hateful
task, with the tiny stitches I had to use. But, I'll now have a
documentably period shelter for the period smithy I'm building (other
than the fabric is a bit too wide).

Got the clay hydrated and ready to use, and plenty of hardwood boards,
so as soon as I get some horse manure to mix with the clay for
Medieval fire brick, I can start putting the forge together.

What- you guys think I'd go to all this trouble for something dumb like clothes?
