[TheForge] Gas Forge Stand

Mine is on casters, with adjutable stock holding supports on each
side, that slide in and out, and then raise up and down as well- just
pieces of bar with a piece of square tubing that slides over them with
a thumbscrew.
Then, I have big fire shield made of 12 gage steel on one side, and
behind that, on the frame, is a 20gallon propane tank. So the whole
think is self contained, and can roll wherever you need it. I ran the
propane lines inside flexible metallic conduit, so no falling hot
stuff will damage them.
Its really nice to be able to roll it whereever I need it- If I am
working 20 footers, for example, I can align it with free clear space
on either end of the openings, so I can run a long piece right thru.
Or for small stuff, I may roll it right over next to an anvil or
powerhammer.

I recently acquired a pipe-type gas forge and am looking to build a

What are some of y'alls recommendations for must-haves on the stand?
Should the area under the forge be open like with expanded metal or
solid sheet? Is worrying about the platform the forge actually sits on
worthwhile? Is there any significant difference in using solid plate
or expanded metal or even supporting it over a hole to reduce heat
loss to table? Or is that just picking nits
I suppose racks or shelves for tools would be good.

Anything else?
Thanks
