Okay, so about those key words, I was wrong.  Ho hum. First time,
y'know? :-)  I really expected that last message to bounce.

ObSmithing:  Making some tooling for the old air hammer.  Spring swage
looks great but I miscalculated and it can't be inserted in the stake
pocket.  Have to make a major mod.  Grumble.  Anybody have an opinion
on this....

    + milling the existing dies down to flat 

    + milling in dovetails to fit modern dies so that the existing
      dies become sow blocks

is doable, not doable, fraught with dangers, too error-prone to be
worth the effort?

And best wishes to Frosty.  The scary part is over.  Now the tedium of
slogging through yet another long spell with a cast.  We're all
rooting for you, y'know.
