I just got a custom hammer from Nathan Robertson.
He also made a custom handle from Osage.  Said he would not do it again as
there was orange dust all over the shop.
The handle seam a little oily but I like it a lot and would not part with
it.
It is Hoffi style just under 1 1/2#

I've seen people use mulberry and osage orange to make handles.  In fact I
wish a had a bunch of Osage orange to split into hammer handles.
