[TheForge] Bob Thompson passing

Just saw a note on the CBA site that Bob Thompsom passed on.
Blacksmithing owes him a huge debt, as he quietly, unstintingly, devoted 
so many years of his life to teaching,establishing workshops, editing 
our newsletter and helping so many other smiths.
All that time he adroitly sidestepped taking any credit, in his 
soft-spoken manner.
He towered over most folks and bore a severe expression, on first 
impression, but gave his time and his heart to smithing....and continued 
to do so through his long illness.
His passing is a profound loss to smithing and I, for one will miss him 
greatly.....pete fels
