In order to get the library up and running it just took some one with the
time to be able to do it. Which I have been lucky enough to have been able
to do. It has been a very rewarding venture. I go a lot of places and have
made a lot of friends along the way.
Unfortunately there has been a few bumps along the way but that is what
makes life interesting.
As for ABANA doing the same thing it would have taken some one to jump in
and do it.
We where lucky enough to have a person in our group with enough forward
thinking to point me in the right direction to change over to DVD. We used
to try the same thing with VHS and I don't want to go there with what
problems that was. But mainly it was 6 hours of tape took 6 hours to
duplicate. With DVD I make 5 copies in about 10 to 15 min.
I am sure there are thousands of hours of blacksmith footage in the various
groups scattered around. I know SOFA tapes all their events as do the Rocky
Mt group. I have been trying to get SOFA to let me convert them to DVD and
I will propose this again when I am out there the end of the month.
So if you know of anyone with metal related footage you want converted I
would be happy to do so with or without editing on my end.
