A good mower is way more practical in my opinion. Goats may eat some of 
the weeds and brush if you starve them but you will have to feed them 
all winter when grass/weeds are not available. I have a Whipper mower 
(no it's not a string trimmer) that will cut 1-1/2" saplings without a 
burp. You only have to feed it when it's running.
