Lynn: Your alloy is great for bullets and possibly for babbit bearings. It
is MUCH tougher than pure lead. Perhaps you could find a caster that would
swap you some pure lead for some alloy. Try bullet casters, esp. black
powder shooters. Grant

Subject: [TheForge] Printers lead
Hello
I have acquired a quantity of printers lead, ingots that were used in a
Mergenthaler linotype. The proportions are Lead 85 percent, Antimony 11
percent and Tin 4 percent. Is this suitable for Repousse backing
material?
Thank you
lynn
