[TheForge] Wall Sconce Shade Material

There was a picture of a nice wall sconce (lamp) in an old Anvil's Ring.
What is a good material to use for the shade that will allow light to
radiate yet not be flammable if the bulb is on for a long time? I suppose a
thin metal would work if the goal was to allow light to radiate from the top
and bottom. Is there a good material that is also somewhat translucent yet
safe?
