The majority of the content of WD40 was kerosene. As a light oil it would
penitrate into a sorts of places. the stuff that lasted was silicone. All
is subject to change. But I still use a squirt of WD 40 to help start the
small engines ion the spring. A little oil and som vaporized hydocarbins
are just what some of them need.
