Probably from a Naval base on one of the Aleutian
Islands then. Every once in a while a native corp or
the Gvt. tries to sell the equip as surplus but
shipping and handling is beyond belief. The hands down
most cost effective way to ship to the bush is USPS
parcel post and that's before the flat rate packages.
Even in one of the larger bush villages a 25lb. bag of
charcoal runs $75, a gallon of milk around $15 and so
on. (I can NOT imagine buying charcoal briquettes for
$3/lb. There is wood available)
Can you imagine mailing a 750lb power hammer?
