Probably from a Naval base on one of the Aleutian 
Islands then. Every once in a while a native corp or 
the Gvt. tries to sell the equip as surplus but 
shipping and handling is beyond belief. The hands down 
most cost effective way to ship to the bush is USPS 
parcel post and that's before the flat rate packages. 
Even in one of the larger bush villages a 25lb. bag of 
charcoal runs $75, a gallon of milk around $15 and so 
on. (I can NOT imagine buying charcoal briquettes for 
$3/lb. There is wood available)

Can you imagine mailing a 750lb power hammer?
