I think it was a pre second world war rebranded anvil, many of the big  
hardware chains would buy anvils from real anvil companies like Fisher  
or Arm and Hammer, and then put their own name on em.
Kind of like now, when you look in the McMaster catalog, and see  
McMaster brand stuff that is obviously somebody else's.
