Before I got my Lincoln Pro 175 Bob I used a TIG in the way your asking
about. I bought the tig head, hose, gauge and electric line at a welding
shop. I had a bottle of Argon, I connected the gauge to that, and the hose
from the gauge to the TIG handpiece. For the current, I connected the
spring loaded positive lead (I think) to a conductor fitting on the tig
unit, and I was set. I don't recall the settings on the arc welder, the
pressure was around 25 I think. It worked almost as good as my Lincoln.
