Galic oil works wonderfully. 1 tbsp per acre of lake
surface will kill the larve. I imagine a drop in the
slack tub is overkill but you know my position of
overkill. <grin>
It's also not the least bit toxic to higher critters
who may want a drink or need to reach into the water
for something. I don't know how the neighbors would
take Pete with a blue green beard. <grin>

My little copper quench tank experiment is entering
it's 4th year..
The beginning was using a beat up copper canning kettle
i patched.
Put in a raised stainless screen bottom..and, no bugs!
Tried copper
scrap with the fire buckets in the work yard..same
result.
Report ;
Putting copper sheet scraps in the quench tank bottom
,controls
mosquitoes pretty well.....here anyway.
