Galic oil works wonderfully. 1 tbsp per acre of lake 
surface will kill the larve. I imagine a drop in the 
slack tub is overkill but you know my position of 
overkill. <grin>

It's also not the least bit toxic to higher critters 
who may want a drink or need to reach into the water 
for something. I don't know how the neighbors would 
take Pete with a blue green beard. <grin>

My  little copper quench tank experiment is entering 
it's 4th year..
The beginning was using a beat up copper canning kettle 
i patched.
Put in a raised stainless screen bottom..and, no bugs! 
Tried copper
scrap with the fire buckets in the work yard..same 
result.

mosquitoes pretty well.....here anyway.
