Subject: [TheForge] Renaissance Festivals and Pennsic

I know I've seen posts about this in the past but I skipped them because
I was sure I would never do anything like that...well so much for never.
So I went to a Renaissance Fair recently and the blacksmith that was
doing demo and selling stuff was really disapointing. It looked like
there were several people that were potentially interested but the smith
had very little to display and didn't really engage the audience. Im
pretty sure I could do a better job by putting on a better show and
offering a lot more items for sale. Any advise or hidden pitfalls to
being a vendor and doing demos at fairs like this?

Also, while looking into Fairs and festivals, I remembered Pennsic. I'm
not in the SCA and I've never been to an event like this, especially one
this size but it looks like a blast. I was thinking of going for a week
to check it out then decide if I would apply to be a mercant. Again,
and advise or hidden pitfalls I sould be aware of? Thanks

KG
