She's doing quite well, everything considered. No infections, despite
the nastiness of an open fracture at her age (72) and her
physician/surgeon is quite happy with her. Pleasantly surprised in
fact- it's become pretty obvious that she's doing everything the Drs
and therapists have told her to do, and everything is healing quite
well, completely without all the screws and plates and what-not they'd
have likely used on her, if she were a younger woman with two whole
lungs.

But, she's pretty bored and frustrated because she can't do everything
she wants to do, including simple things like cooking a meal for
herself, beyond nuling those frozen meals. She's an excellent cook,
and she's really wanting some of her own specialties. The lady helping
her is a good cook in her own right, but a strictly Southern, family
style cook, without the exposure and experience Mom and I have had to
somewhat more exotic cuisine.

We spend a fair amount of time on the phone ;-)

Heat it up
Hit it hard
Repent as necessary.

Priorities:

It's the smith who makes the tools, not the tools which make the smith.

notices I have read with pleasure. -Clarence Darrow
