I have a couple of surgical bone curettes in my toolbox. Somebody
once looked at them and exclaimed, "Oh, cool! Long-handled stainless
coke spoons!" (They're useful for spooning crud out of deep bolt
holes, scraping in narrow places and such. Great for cleaning my
pipe. :-)
BTW, I have solved the tachometer cable problem about which I asked
advice. It seems that you *must* grab a threaded object with pliers
*on the threaded portion* in order to unscrew it. I still don't
understand why it's like that. But I've located a shop manual so I may
learn eventually.
