Re: Firefox or updating IE, from Dave Mudge

I've used Firefox for years and love it, but I've heard cautionary tales
about version 3, which is a Beta release, I think. At this point, stay
with version 2 until any bugs are completely worked out.

Another browser I am trying out, which is also free, is Safari, an Apple
product that works wonderfully on my Win XP system. It appears to be
quite a bit faster loading than Firefox and will import all Firefox
and/or IE bookmarks, etc. Look and feel is virtually the same as
Firefox, not exactly, but very close. According to my geek newsletters,
it has fewer problems than Firefox, primarily related to Firefox
becoming "bloated" somewhat after the fashion of IE.

Anyway, if you want to try Safari, go to http://www.apple.com, click on
Downloads, and look for the Safari information.

For Firefox, go to http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/ . Just be sure
to download version 2 at this point.

Either browser is MUCH safer to use than IE, in my opinion (but that's
just an opinion).
