The railing was simple in design, complimented the home.  You can get 
carried away, but depends on the client.  This client had not seen it 
prior to installation.  Most don't trust you that much!  Ha!

I'm in NE Texas.

Anyone else other than this particular client, I would have charged 
$400/ft or possibly more.  It was a real bi*ch to build.

The general contractor and his crew installed the railing as it was part 
of the construction.  Took a crew of 5, scaffolding, 2 chain hoists, 
etc.  Outer supports were welded on after it was fitted in place, then 
ground, sanded, primed, painted and lacquered.  The railing  had been 
finished at the shop, but I touched up the spots after welding.  I was 
pleased with the fit, it was off 3/16" on overall width and is U 
shaped.  (2 straight sides and an ellipse or curved front of about 9 1/2 
feet or so, curved branched scrolls, curved balusters, very little of 
anything straight on the dang thing.

But it looked good and fit good.  Thank goodness!!
