Quite well actually, he's remote enough subsistance and 
barter works fine. Not as well as he'd like of course 
or he wouldn't try selling his stuff at all but his 
family has a roof, food, comforts and is healthy. You 
see folks much worse off here in town.

Oh I have. Given him a pretty thorough verbal slapping 
around too and I'm not the only one telling him so. 
He's a bright guy, I think he'll get over the romantic 
notion of the village blacksmith eventually. I just 
hope he can parlay his remote location, historic 
materials into some celeb must have and make a killing. 
One thing for certain, no gallery is taking a cut.
