item 14-3 ductile iron balls 3", 3.77 lbs, about $8 w/o shipping
If you have a drill press drill a hole as large as you can in something
clamped to the press. sit the ball in it and drill your tap size. This will
put you on center. Make sure you get the hole deep enough to have the tap
cut the threads you need or get a bottoming tap.
Let us know when you make a cannon for the extra balls you order ;-)
