[TheForge] making prototypes in clay

when prototyping a device or even a project, what do
you use? wood, acrylic sheet, plasticine clay?

 I like to use plasticine clay. I just bought some
from Dick Blick. they sell it in 1 lb blocks.  it is
cheap, never dries and responds to the hammers or
tools. 
using wooden tools and platicine kids can be shown how
to work in steel safely.
