As a citizen who has written many a letter to many an editor in support of  
gun rights, I have kind of mixed feelings about this.
Even in cowboy towns back in the day, didn't the city have a right to say,  
Enough! when things got too crazy, check your guns at the office when you  
come into town?
Perhaps in those days people actually did it, for whatever reason...
At least the SC acknowledged publicly that the 2nd amendment actually says  
what it says, not what it seems to say if you twist it to suit an opposing  
point of view...
