	D00d, ANY oil will work in a wicked lamp.  Lard will work as well.  We 
keep our used up cooking oil and fats and into the betty lamps (which I 
made) they go.  Don't buy kero at $4/gallon.  Hell no.  Of course, if 
you are using a Coleman lantern that uses whitegas, that is probably a 
different deal.  I don't THINK that oil/lard can be used in those.  I 
doubt it would go through th emechanism and if it did, would wreck the 
mantles.
