Well, I made 20 new hardies for the John C. Campbell Folk School. Last week
was work week and while I had my daughter and son-in-law and 14 month old
grandson visiting -- Andrew and I worked on the hardies.

They are a composite construction. Mild steel on the bottom and tool steel
welded on the top. Use Paul Garrett's Hy-Tuf steel for the working portion.
We will see how they hold up in the hell of the Folk School. Never have
understood how students and instructors could be so damn hard on the
equipment. (Some instructors are the worst -- act like it is there job to
prove that they can break things.) Folks do things that they would never do
in their own shop. Comes with being a school I guess.
