Folks, it's really not difficult at all. First, get a TIG torch
assembly. You want one with a gas valve on the handle. Your TIG torch
should have an electrical connection tab at the gas supply end of the
hose. That normally gets screwed in the machine, along with the hose
from the gas tank. You can either just clamp your negative lead onto
that tab or get an electrical termination, along with a short cable
and plug, from the welding supply and make its own plug end.
The rest is just scratch-start welding. Open the gas valve, tap onto
the weldment to get the arc, and weld away.
