Oops. Sorry. Looks like I sent the previous post twice. The 2nd one
has spelling checked and stuff.
Frosty> My only question is why use two magnets?
Two magnets doubles the the number of counted pulses per revolution
and so doubles the computed MPH. So I get more accuracy.
Assume (to make easy numbers) 100 RPM = 10 MPH. RPM has to drop 10%
to ca. 90 before I see a change to 9 MPH. With two magnets, 100 RPM =
20 MPH, and if RPM drops 5% to 95, I see a change to 19 MPH.
Actually, I'm using the kilometers/hr setting because kilometers are
smaller than miles so I get more accuracy that way, too.
Frosty> What color are you going to paint it?
Dark green with fire engine red trim. Almost done, just a couple of
bits that have to be degreased before painting and one bit that needs
a ladder to reach.
Frosty> Okay, that was two questions.
That's alright, they were small ones.
