Yeah, sounds like a great fit structurally -- doesn't offer any
insulation though, for the outside where it is needed.  Perhaps some
cheap single-walled stovepipe could be mounted inside the corrugated
drain pipe, to insulate the exhaust and protect against a cooled-wall
downdraft.
Or two pieces of corrugated, one inside the other, although that
sounds excessively heavy.  :)
I'm pretty sure I'll be fabricating at least the rain/weater cap on
top of my stack, after looking at the prices of the pre-fab junk.  I'm
still not sure about the hole through the roof though, that scares the
heck outta me (as a new home&shop owner).  I'll get over it...
