Terry,

We get vegtibles in large (#10) cans at the Menonite bulk food store, also
at the Dot foods salvage store Mt. Sterling, Ill. There are places where you
can order lids for them same size as coffee cans. Try "Emergency Essentials"
I don't know if they have a web site, and it's been several years since
we've ordered from them so don't have their catalog any more.

I don't know about Vt. but we lived in Ct. for 3 years and though the area
was beautiful, they were not very friendly. If you were not 4th generation
in Ct. you were considered an outsider. The only friendly people were the
other mid-west transplants, like us. Have you looked into internet schools?

I've made several cookie cutters, they were all one of a kind and took more
time than I could charge. If you come up with some patterns and mass
produce you may be able to make it pay.

You could make the blacksmith puzzles. They are usially very light stock and
could be made with a light home made bender. I have plans for a light
bender in the latest BAM newsletter, can be found at bamsite.org.

You may want to get into the fiber arts, spinning and weaving. It's also
time consuming, but there seems to be a market for it.
