Terry,

I've done a little spinning, and Lindsay books had two or three books on the 
subject. It's been nearly 10 years since I did any spinning but Lindsay 
probably still has the books.

When you push the metal up over the form you are upsetting it, otherwise you 
get folds. Depending on what you are spinning the metal work hardens and 
must be annealed. For simple shapes like ladle bowls you can get done in one 
session without annealing.
