Hi Guys,

Just trying to catch everyone I can think of as they come to me. Sorry
to be the bearer of bad news.

Judy Nichols Wallace
JUDY NICHOLS WALLACE, 59, retired Assistant Director of the National
Ornamental Metal Museum, died Sunday, February 17, 2008 at home. She was
born March 30, 1948 in Knoxville, Tennessee and adopted by Virgil and
Florence Nichols, who preceded her in death. Wife of James A. "Wally"
Wallace, Judy was employed by the Metal Museum for 20 years and lived
onsite daily enjoying the beauty of sunsets from the museum grounds. A
graduate of White Station High School, Judy attended the University of
Memphis and the University of Kentucky. Judy is remembered as one of the
first volunteers at the Metal Museum. Her first efforts in helping
cobble light fixtures from discarded materials resulted in her spray
painting her glasses. It was immediately recognized that her talent and
gift was with a typewriter. Her brilliance with words and their
impeccable presentation were responsible for much of the success of the
Metal Museum. With charm and grace, she built the open and welcoming
sense of place for interns, visiting metalsmiths, artists, and friends
of the museum. Somewhere her whistling became more infrequent, and all
her friends and family were unable to help her battle the demon. She
continued to find peace and satisfaction in flower arranging until her
final one on Valentines Day. She particularly enjoyed the wild flowers
of North Arkansas where she hoped to retire. She is survived by her
stepsons, Peter Wallace, Jed Wallace, and Daniel Wallace. In lieu of
flowers, her family requests donations be given to Grace House. A
memorial service to celebrate Judy's life will be held at 3 p.m.,
Thursday, February 21 at the Metal Museum. Canale Funeral Directors
