	A fact that seems lost on many people.  When mentioned, the automatic 
response is usually to assume the speaker is minimizing such events and 
the lives lost.  I doubt anything could be further from the truth.  But 
given how heavily armed we are on the whole, our guns are very silent.

	Heaven forbid you suggest that students (of adult age) be allowed the 
means of self defense on campuses.  Burn the witch!
