Fix up anything you can -- ball of crushed-up chicken wire, paper
mache' or whatever -- to make a spherical guide ca. 3'6" in diameter.  As
the spike ends come available, weld them to each other, points
outward and axes radial to the core shape-guide, to eventually form a
4' diameter prickly seed pod (or spore, or armored Killer Tomato
or...).  Extra points (pun intended) if you take the trouble to heat
and sharpen each spike-end to a sharp point.
