Regrettably, you get some flat-lander in the hills and they don't understand background.  You don't take a shot in hill country unless there is land behind the target.

I had some yahoos shooting at targets across the road.  The shots were going over my head into the trees.  When I got to where they were and complained , they said there shots wouldn't go that far.  I said I was sure they couldn't read the back of their ammo box because they had to be really dumb.
