Subject: Iron in France
Got back from France a couple weeks ago.  I drove through Normandy and
Brittany to see the countryside and little museums along the way.
Took lots of photos.  I'm uploading a selected 40 of them in album
"France July 2008" and may add more later.  The complete caption list
is below, as I'm too lazy to prune the list.  Also, this enables you
to ask for shots I haven't uploaded yet.  The Number of the file is
the key to the caption.
Note that the Chateau Gaillard is made largely of flint!  The whole
rive droite of the Seine seems to be chalk cliffs filled with flint.
I wanted to bring a few tons of it home in my luggage, but I figured
the airline might object.
