It's also called washing soda- recommended for electrolosis rust removal.
Try your local grocery store..

Look up plating lab supply companies on the web.

Subject: [TheForge] Chemical question

I need more convenient (and cheaper!) access to a particular chemical, for
more of my dyeing experiments. It's called "Soda Ash Fixer", says it's
Sodium Carbonate, and its use is as a dye activator. Anybody know what else
it might be called, and how I might get more, preferably cheap?

Thanks,
