I have heard that Mike Faul uses ash of rice straw for his flux. He also told me that hay ash could be used as well. Mark Kim, Cleston Synyard uses brake drum turnings in large quantity for his flux with nothing added, of course he also uses the infamous El Nemo forge. Chuck
