Carharts have worked well for me -- mostly I go for the overalls (old fart).

Great story about the overalls here in the back woods of western North
Carolina. I live in the area near the John C. Campbell Folk School that
Eric Rudolph hideout in for 5 years (The Olympic Bomber Guy) We have an
annual event at Clay's corner near the Folk School on New Years Eve --
called the Possum Drop. It a great local even -- but the first year they
were looking for Eric -- there was this whole group of strangers at the
event dressed in brand new Carhart Overalls -- complete with bright shinny
shoes -- had ear pieces too. Who do they think they were fooling.

Here is the website on Clay's Corner http://www.clayscorner.com/

As to boot laces, I can never understand why they wear out so fast. I have
gone to making my own from nylon camping cord from the outdoor / hunting
area at Wal-Mart. Made from this cord they out last the boots. It cheap
too.
