Yes, they did that and they did it so well that the LOCAL groups can 
keep it going on their own.

The Conferences no longer exist.  Newsletters were being exchanged 
before the ABANA Newsletter Exchange Agreement, and theForge is a 
simple e-list that anyone could be running. (For example my domain 
host allows me and UNLIMITED number of them)

No doubt ABANA played a GREAT role getting many local groups started, 
but what are they doing NOW?  They have not evolved with the times.
